Reaction paths between LiN[H.sub.2] and LiH with effects of nitrides
Article Abstract:
The effects of selected nitride compounds on the LiN[H.sub.2] + LiH reaction are examined in order to clarify the reaction mechanism of LiN[H.sub.2] with LiH and improve the hydrogen desorption kinetics. The results have shown that the reaction of LiN[H.sub.2] with LiH below 300 degree centigrade is a heterogeneous solid-state reaction controlled by [Li.sup.+] diffusion from LiH to LiN[H.sub.2] across the interface.

Roles of deeply supercooled ethanol in crystallization and solvation of LiI
Article Abstract:
The mechanisms of glass-liquid transition and crystallization of amorphous solid ethanol are examined through the analyses of the interaction with LiI by using time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry and reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy. The film morphology has changed even after crystallization, implying that crystallization is not completed and that a liquidlike phase coexists.

Neutron-scattering determination of the Li (super +) environment in an aqueous poly(ethlene oxide) solution
Article Abstract:
Neutron diffraction with isotopic substitution was used to assess the relative solvation interaction near lithium ions in a D2O/deuterated poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) mixed solvent near 25 degree Celsius. It was found that the presence of PEO in the aqueous solution has no effect on the hydration of Li (super +).
